Clash of Faiths by David Dalglish

This book took up right where the first one left off. Our hero was captured by a band of thieves that were fighting a tyrant Lord. The outlaws brought him to their camp so that he could heal their leaders sister. As his friend of another God has lost his God's blessing. While trying to get back his God's blessing a sinister Profit from his religion starts guiding him. The two are on very different paths at the beginning of this book. The Light Paladin helping the people of the north fight against the tyrant. While the Dark Paladin kills several of his brothers to protect his own life.

The two Paladins are led towards and ultimate fight against one another. In the final battle of the book, the clash of the two Paladins. The Light Paladin keeps telling the Dark Paladin he forgave him and may he find his way. The Dark Paladin while down excepts the Light Paladins hand and excepts the Light Paladin's faith as his own. With his first act as a Light Paladin he puts a stop to the Profit.

This story is very good at the end I had to get book three. I thought for sure that the dark would truly find the Light Paladin and imprison him for all to see the last of the Light Paladins. Lots of turns and a great story line. Please read this fantastic book after the first book Night of Wolves. I think any one who likes Fantasy books would like this book and his other books as well.

The Serpent's Shadow By: Rick Riordan

The Serpent's Shadow By Rick Riordan

This is a great book, It's the last in a series about the Egyptian gods and their relation with magicians that follow the path of the Gods. As with all three books it follows the course that Carter and Sadie Kane use to defeat Chaos and save the world from the snake Apophis. In this book it is spoken from first person from both Carter and Sadie. Carter and Sadie since the first book now have Trainees of their own. Their Uncle is the Chief Lector (the oldest and most powerful of the magicians). As their uncle has been threatened by a group of magicians from Russia, the Kane's must focus on the more drooling task of destroying Apophis if you can destroy a God.

What I like the best is how at the end when Sadie and Carter's mom tell the Sadie their challenges are not over, other Gods and magicians from outside Egypt will challenge them. I hope he crosses the two worlds he has created.

This book is a great read however it's not for one that hasn't read the first two. I started this book and couldn't put it down. It's easy to read and has some great information on Egyptian Gods and their relationship with those that followed their way. I do strongly recommend all three books of the Kane Chronicles and of course the entire Percy Jackson series. Thank you for reading.
